Am I contagious to others if I am experiencing COVID-19 symptoms and/or a positive viral test after treatment with Paxlovid?

Currently it is unknown if COVID-19 is contagious during the “rebound” period after taking antiviral medication. Regardless of whether you have been treated with an antiviral medication, we recommend following CDC isolation guidelines, including taking other precautions such as masking, to prevent transmission of the COVID-19 virus to others.
