Hand sanitizers with these ingredients can cause blindness and/or death when absorbed through the skin or when swallowed. Other reported symptoms include headache, blurred vision, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, loss of coordination, and fainting. If you use a hand sanitizer with these ingredients and have any of these symptoms or accidentally swallow some, seek immediate medical attention or contact a poison center center.
